What to look for in shoes for MS

1) Light weight. A lighter shoe takes less effort to lift with every step, which helps when legs tire or with foot drop.

2) A stable, low heel and a grippy outsole. A wide, flat-ish base and an anti-slip rubber sole give a steadier footing. Avoid very thick, soft or rocker soles unless your therapist suggests them.

3) A secure heel. A firm heel counter keeps the foot in place. Backless slip-ons and loose mules can slide off or catch.
