Excursion All Black Wide Kids' Shoe

My daughter was so picky with shoes that we have been wearing crocs for her sensory issues. Her school really wanted us to find her sneakers so she wouldn’t hurt herself during gym class. I know this would be a fight trying to get her to shove her foot into a tight sneaker. Finding this brand was such a blessing! Not only can she put them on herself but she feels powerful wearing them and showed them off to everyone! Thank you, friendly shoes!

I bought this pair of shoes for my adult handicapped son, he wears an "AFO" and we struggle to find the right shoes for him and these were perfect! I wished we had found these years ago. I do wish you would sell the opposite shoe without the zipper, but no worries, he likes the ease of putting on his shoes without having to struggle. Thank you for making our lives easier.

These are lightweight, well made sneakers. Once my son got larger orthotics they could not fit into the other brands extra wide without sizing up 2 sizes. Other zipper brands extra wide are way too heavy for him. His PT measured his foot in his orthotics and we ordered these online and they are a perfect fit. Very happy with them!

I have an AFO AND HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR SHOES FOR THREE YEARS. I HAVE FINALLY FOUND A SHOE. They are cute and work. I can finally put on my shoe independently because of the zipper. I also am so happy to be able to buy my left foot one size in my right foot another size at the same time without being charged for the shoes I can’t wear. I have told, all of my friends and acquaintances about friendly shoes. Thank you so much I will be buying other colors!

They're amazing! the zipper design is genius, not only does it make removing and putting on the shoes easy as can be it also allows for laces in the front, which are not only functional for perfecting fit, they also look much more apealing than a big sipper down the middle of your shoe. These shoes are made for those with disabilities, but don't throw away look and charm of the shoe to make them functional. Theyre light as a feather and its like walking on a cloud! I wear them everyday and when im in need of new shoes again I know exactly where I'm going <3

I bought these shoes for my elderly Mom, and they were the talk of her rehab unit! They are so great to work with for her mobility problems…she really likes them. And the customer service from the company was fantastic! I actually talked to a real human on the phone within a few rings, and he was so helpful and efficient in assisting me with my questions. Really love this company and their shoes!

I'm thankful for the Friendly Shoes I just bought, Men's Excursion. When I first put my paralyzed feet into them, they were too tight over the tops of my feet, and I was worried I would have to return them. Then I realized that I could take out the insole and gain about a quarter of an inch more room. That's what I did, and now the shoes are deep enough for my feet to not have pressure on them anywhere. They protect my feet and don't pinch or put pressure on them. The zipper makes them easy to put on and take off. I bought two pair and am happy I did. If you are paralyzed like me, they work for me. They are much lighter weight than my old New Balance, which is what I replaced with these Friendly Shoes. I'm a satisfied customer.

We have two kids with very different special needs, and Friendly shoes work great for both of them! The Kids Force is our oldest favorite, he loves the bright color and that he can easily put them on and take them off on his own!

Our son Cash loves his new friendly shoes. He has a different walk in these. He seems more confident and happy to wear cool looking shoes that he can practice taking on and off.

I am a 70+ year old woman who wears one size 3 & 1 size 4 shoe. I am disabled and it is really difficult to find shoes that fit for me. I have found these to be extremely comfortable. I know it sounds funny but I really enjoy the happy pink with sparkles. Not really my style, but they work so well for me and are so comfortable that I just love them. I first purchased your black shoes and moved on to your pink ones. The rest are really just too young looking for me. Thank you.

My daughter recently got new AFOs, and they came with a pair of shoes from another brand. The shoes were large, blocky, and stiff. They were uncomfortable and made my daughter’s feet look huge. Yet, as big as they were, it was really difficult to get them on over the orthotic and zip them all the way around. Those issues were standing in the way of my daughter accepting and adapting to the AFOs. I ordered the Friendly shoes because they’re more attractive and the fabric is flexible. They turned out to be perfect. Because of the flexibility, they’re easy to put on and more comfortable. The sparkles and pink accents also suit my daughter’s sense of style. Only since we got these shoes has she been willing to keep the AFOs on for more than a few minutes. And the price is excellent, significantly lower than other adaptive shoe brands. Will definitely stick with this brand.

Bought these shoes hoping they would fit over my daughter's AFOs and they were perfect! I bought a size up. Top material is stretchy quality zipper. Very lightweight. Going to search for more colors and buy more!

I have spent years searching out the perfect shoe for my son to wear with his Surestep SMOs. We like this lightweight sneaker with memory foam insole. A zipper and shoelaces gives ease in putting them on plus the ability to tighten once they’re on. I would love to see a sole that’s a bit more “grippy” and, of course, more colors and styles would be welcome!

They are very lightweight, easy to slip on, and so far no complaints in the comfort department. My dad, who I bought them for and who has Parkinson's disease, does less walking these days so he wears them more as slippers and can have them on all day. When he does walk he likes that they stay on and it's easy for him to move his feet. With other shoes, he complained of them being too heavy. Satisfied purchase.

These shoes will change my father in law’s morning routine for the better!!! He struggled with putting his shoes on. Keep in mind some people in this age group need to take their shoes off and put them back on several times a day for various reasons. Your company has a great shoe and more people need to know about them! They are great! Thank you!!!
